# Farming

There are two ways to earn schnibbles by farming.

* **LANDOWNER**: Rent out your farmland 
* **TOILERS**: Put up to 6 Munchables from your [Stable](/munchables/explorers-guide/glossary/stable.md) to work and farm another Keeper's land

## Landowner

Landowners can see how many plots they own in the coloured squares at the bottom of the screen. 

* A plot of land is allocated to a Keeper for every \~$30 they have in active [Locks](/munchables/explorers-guide/glossary/lockdrop.md)
* Green plots already have a Munchable being put to work on them and are earning schnibbles through land tax
* Blue plots are available to be filled

Landowners can '***Invite Farmers***' to farm their land using their link. Budding farmers can also randomly find empty land - as long as there are plots available to be farmed, any Munchable is welcome to farm that land.

Landowners can change their **Tax rate** if they wish, but the rate agreed at the time of the farming transaction is locked in for the duration.

### Where do I post my farming links?

We now have a Farming channel set up in Discord where you can recruit other players to farm your land. Post your links here: <https://discord.com/channels/1202261376459087902/1276263947384651848>&#x20;

***Users must have sufficient posts on the Munchables Discord to attain "Level 1" before being authorised to post farming links in the Farming channel***

## Toilers

Keepers can put up to 6 Munchables from their stable to work, by farming them out to toil on other Keepers' land.&#x20;

1\) Find a Keeper with available farmland (blue plots) at a tax rate that you agree with

2\) Click on "***Stake"*** and select the Munchable from your stable that you want to put to work. The 'Projected output' will show how productive that particular Munchable will be on that land

3\) '***Confirm***' the transaction

4\) Your Munchable is now earning you consistent, passive schnibbles 🥬

Up until now, only up to 6 Munchables in the snuggery could earn schnibbles. Now, up to an extra 6 Munchables from the stable can also earn schnibbles by farming land. No more lazy Munchables chilling around the stable contributing nothing... PUT SOME OF THEM TO WORK 👨🏼‍🌾🚀

### Schnibble Maths

* 10 SNIBB/day base rate for a plot
* 1 SNIBB bonus for each level, i.e. using a level 33 Munchable to farm, will get 33 SNIBB bonus/day
